"All those...moments will be lost... Like tears...in rain."
Exactly XD She knew, oh...she knew.

All the research I'm doing on Persephone has me wanting pomegranates.

Before you start to argue with me please remember, I'm a fangirl, your logic has no effect on me.
i really want to believe this...
I whole heartedly agree with you. She definitely knew what she was doing.
Love the icon.
So true, so true...
Nice icon anyway :D

I'll tell you a secret. The Gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again.
There is a version of the myth, where Hades (on one of his rare visits to Olympus, where he is generally not welcome) sees Persephone--falls for her instantly, as gods are want to do--and makes a deal with Zeus (her father) to marry her. Zeus agrees, but never delivers, and never tells Persephone or Demeter. Hades eventually became impatient with Zeus and that's why he kidnapped her.

There is also a version that says that Persephone did indeed fall for Hades, (despite the kidnapping) and that she ate the pomegranite seeds on purpose to keep from being separated from him. It was Zeus who reneged on th deal, and Zeus who seperated them to appease Demeter. When it comes to Greek myths there's a pretty good rule of thumb. It's usually Zeus's fault.
I totally love this. Is this an icon that is up for sharing or would you rather we didn't?
